My name is Tim and I am a 28 year old workaholic that until May of 2009 had never traveled on his own. There should be a group for people like me. “Welcome to Over worked, under paid anonymous or ‘OW UPA’ for short.” I have been out of the country a few times but always with my parents or friends. What started as a month in Thailand turned into three months in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. I got hooked on backpacking with this trip and have been having trouble explaining why to my friends. I am hoping that writing this blog will inspire my friends, family and those of you I haven’t met yet to grab a bag and find some place to explore. This blog will hopefully also serve as a reminder to myself of what I am missing. I am hoping to go on many trips in the future and maybe one day return to the areas that I talk about here.
